Land Between The Lakes Target Range
The Land Between The Lakes Target Range at Golden Pond offers a straightforward place to practice shooting with rifles, pistols, and archery gear in an outdoor setting. The facility sits just off US 68/KY 80 on Gun Range Road and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis during daylight hours.
The range includes separate areas for rifle shooting with room out to around 175 yards, a 50-yard pistol area, and an archery practice section. Each range has benches for shooters, and accessible paths help make the site welcoming to a range of visitors.
Targets are not provided, so visitors bring their own setup and replace them as needed. Certain types of targets that pose a safety concern are not allowed, and rules are posted on site to help ensure responsible use.
The target range is free to use and open from dawn until dusk. On some days maintenance closures take place in the late morning, and packing out all trash and spent shells keeps the area clean for the next group of shooters.
