CENTRAL LBL

Golden Pond Visitor Center

The Golden Pond Visitor Center is the main information hub for Land Between the Lakes. It is a good first stop if you want maps, local recommendations, and a quick reset before you head deeper into LBL. Inside you will find brochures, exhibits on the area’s history, clean restrooms, a gift shop, and easy access to nearby trails and picnic space. The planetarium is right there too, with daily shows for a small fee.

North LBL

North Welcome Station

The North Welcome Station sits at the Grand Rivers end of Woodlands Trace and works like a mini visitor center. It is set up for quick, practical stops. Grab maps and brochures, ask a question, use the restrooms, and pick up snacks or water before you head south into LBL.  It is open seasonally, but you’ll find outside vending machines.  It is also the trailhead of the Canal Loop and the North-South trails.

South LBL

South Welcome Station

The South Welcome Station is the southern gateway on Woodlands Trace near Dover, Tennessee. Like the North station, it is built for fast information and basics: maps, regional brochures, restrooms, snacks, and a small shop for commemorative items. It is a convenient place to stop before you commit to the longer drive through the middle of LBL.  It also serves as a trailhead for the North-South trail.
