Washing Wool
Monday, April 6, 2026 - 10am-12pm
Homeplace Working Farm, 4512 The Trace, Dover, LBL
The journey of a woolen garment doesn’t begin at the spinning wheel; it begins at the wash tub. After the sheep is shorn, the fleece arrives as “greasy wool”-a heavy, tangled map of the animal’s life over the past year. To transform this raw fiber into something wearable, we must first master the delicate balance of heat, soap, and patience. Come join us on the farm to help wash some wool.
