Horseback Riding at Wrangler's Camp
Horseback riding at Land Between the Lakes is centered around Wranglers Campground, the designated equestrian hub within the recreation area. Wranglers offers access to nearly 100 miles of marked horse and wagon trails that travel along creeks, wooded ridges, lake shores, and historic routes. Riders may bring their own horses and camp on site, with facilities designed to accommodate horse trailers, RVs, and overnight stays. Campsites range from full-hookup sites to primitive options, along with cabins, shelters, stalls, and wash areas.
Wranglers Campground also offers year-round equestrian access, with horses given right-of-way throughout the campground and trail system. For visitors without horses, guided trail rides are available through Rockin’ U Riding Stables, located at Wranglers. These guided rides provide an easy way to experience LBL on horseback without bringing your own equipment. Horseback riding outside designated equestrian areas is restricted, so riders should plan accordingly and follow posted rules and permit requirements.
