About Wranglers Campground

Wranglers Campground is the go to place in Land Between the Lakes for campers traveling with horses. This campground is built entirely around riding, hauling, and caring for horses, which makes it feel very different from every other place to camp inside LBL. If your trip revolves around the saddle, you are in the right spot.

Campsites here are designed with horse trailers and larger rigs in mind. Options include full hookup RV sites, electric and water sites, primitive sites, and rustic cabin rentals. Horse stalls, picket lines, wash areas, and large open spaces make daily care easy. There are also shower facilities for riders and horses, along with a camp store, vending machines, and weekend farrier and blacksmith services during the main season.

Quick Facts

One of the biggest draws at Wranglers is direct access to more than 100 miles of horse and wagon trails. Riders can head out from camp and spend the day exploring forest roads, creek crossings, historic features, and quiet stretches of LBL without loading up again. Wagons are welcome on many routes, adding to the campground’s traditional riding culture.

Wranglers also works well for visitors who want the experience but do not bring their own horses. Guided trail rides are offered seasonally through Rockin’ U Riding Stables, which operates on site. With year round camping, purpose built amenities, and a community of fellow riders, Wranglers feels less like a campground and more like a gathering place for people who love to ride.
